SPT.1 Field training in engineering geology, mining and environment  
Objectives: to establish a link between geology, mining and environemnt.  
Prerequisites: basic knowledge in geology.

Duration: 5 days, until 10/10/2021 to 15/10/2021
Cost: 4 000 €

SPT.2 Overview of the different stages of a mining process  
Objectives: to get an overall view of the different stages of the mining process and main operational methods and techniques: maket of mireal resources and mibing companies, exploration and deposit modelling, open pit and underground mining, mineral processing.
Prerequisites: no

Duration: 5 days, until 18/10/2021 to 22/10/2021
Cost: 2 500 €

SPT.3 Sampling  
Objectives: Introduction to P. Gy's sampling theory, design of sampling protocols and effective procedures (QA Quality Assurance & QC Quality Control) with precision and accuracy; measurement and sampling features: at the drilling site, at the laboratory, in the mine and at the plant.  
Prerequisite: basic knowledge in mining processes

Duration: 5 days, until 25/10/2021 to 29/10/2021
Cost: 2 500 €
SPT.4 Economic evaluation of mining projects  
Objectives: to get familiar with discounted cash flow calculation techniques and main characteristics of a mining investment, operating costs and revenues; to calculate the economic indicators of a mining project (NPV, PR, IRR); to understand the impacts of taxes and financing; to know the main parameters of a mining project; to conduct a complete economic evaluation of a mining project  
Prerequisite: easy use of Excel spreadsheet, basic knowledge and practical experience in mining and processing techniques.

Duration: 10 days, until 01/11/2021 to 12/11/2021
Cost: 5 000 €


SPT.5 Overview of the issues surrounding the management of mineral resources
Objectives : to give an overview of the different issues, from different angles through the testimonies of speakers, teachers, researchers and professionals. Our societies must turn to more sustainable management solutions with innovative solutions that use new technologies (waste sorting and recycling, circular economy ...), within companies and at the level of territories, by integrating societal issues, governance, and tools for consultation between stakeholders.
Prerequisite: none

Duration: 5 days, until 13/11/2021 au 19/11/2021
Cost: 2 500 €

SPT.6 Etudes d’impact environnementale et sociale et plan de gestion du projet minier 
Objectives
environmental and social assessment in the mining project cycle, preliminary impact and risk scoping study, technical description of the project and basic environmental and social study, impact study, environmental and social management plan, relocation of populations, closure of the mine.
Prerequisite: overall knowledge of the mining process.

Duration: 5 days, until 22/11/2021 au 26/11/2021
Cost: 2 500 €
